I just heard about this great cabaret with a Rush snorting Mother Superior:
"... another miraculous middle-brow Danny Goggin hit, Nunsense A-Men! This is the drag revision of the original Nunsense, with an all-male cast (excepting the puppet, Sister Marionette). Three-fifths of the giddy, God-struck actors hail from the original Off Broadway cast of this disarmingly silly burst of modern vaudeville. Among the gag topics: leprosy, a Mother Superior who snorts "Rush," fat jokes, Al Jolson and Butterfly McQueen impersonations, and whether St. Francis was a sissy.
"Goggin has a knack for writing and staging Merman-esque melodies. There's less visual extravagance here than in the Vegas variant Nunsensations, which DCT presented over the holidays. But there's cleverer wordplay, especially in songs like "Tackle That Temptation With a Time Step." At least two routines are certain showstoppers: the aforementioned poppers-popping Reverend Mother and the ballet farce "The Dying Nun" certainly funnier with a male dancer en pointe ..."
